K.K. Quah has been a 6 year volunteer coach for the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) team, Mech Masters, which has done very well  from 2003-2008 amassing 2 International trophies, 1 West Coast Regional trophy, 4 State trophies and 7 local qualifier trophies.

In the FLL 2007-8 season, Mech Masters was the only team in Florida with a perfect score of 400/400 in the Robot Performance category.

Programs by K.K. Quah has been written up in the Tampa Tribune and has been on ABC local News.  K.K. has also been a speaker at the FIRST Robotics Conference at the World Festival in Atlanta for the last 6 years from 2005-2010

TLCK sponsored FIRST Technology Challenge (FTC) Team 2868, Smoke and Mirrors, started the season in Sept 2009 and since then did very well winning 2 qualifying tournaments in 2010 and also an Innovate Award and the best overall team award, the Inspire Award. Our robot had been steadily improving along with the teams skills in driving and the strategy. Team 2868 Smoke and Mirrors won the  State FTC tournament at USF Tampa on Feb 27, 2010 winning both the Inspire Award (best overall robot trophy) and was a part of the winning Alliance with Team Duct Tape and Team Force Applied.   They went on to win the FTC World Championships in Atlanta on April 17, 2010 beating out 100 teams as Team Alliance Captain.

Team 2868 Smoke and Mirrors won an Innovate Award at the Pinellas Science Center FTC 2011 tournament on January 8 and a PTC Design Award on January 29, 2011.   The team went on to the State FTC tournament held on February 12 at Embry Riddle University in Daytona and was able to get to the semi-finals.

In Fall 2011, K.K. Quah started working full time for Tampa Preparatory School and is coaching VEX robotics teams.  Over the last 9 years, the VEX teams at Tampa Prep have won over 20 trophies including the VEX States Championships in 2013.
